Absolutely brilliant!!! 🤩 A super flow trail with small jumps and other elements, obviously created with a lot of effort "just like that" in the great outdoors, I've never seen anything like it before. Respect and many thanks to the builders!!! Easter 2025 in absolutely superb condition! Surely a dream for experts, but also doable for semi-advanced riders (like me) with a good mountain bike. With a bit of caution and a controlled pace the first time. The jumps aren't that big and can be avoided. At 2-3 tricky corners, I used my foot or dismounted.

Situated on the western shore of Lake Maggiore, above Cannobio and Cannero Rivera, Monte Carza (1,116 metres above sea level) offers an incredible panoramic view from its summit, marked by an iron cross that stands in a small clearing.

It is now (June 2024) a pure, super developed downhill track. Uphill is not rideable as stated in some tracks.

A little hint: I rode during summer time (July 2023) and the trees all have their leaves. Hence you see a lot of trees but the view on the sea and to the towns and shore line is marginal / hidden. Nevertheless, nice training with MTB road upwards with lot of gravel / stones.

Yes, advanced riders will find several challenging trails. For instance, La Crosa Trail is a super flow trail with small jumps and elements, suitable for very advanced MTB riders. Another demanding option is the Loaminator MTB Trail, which includes blue and black lines, with the black line being a Double Black Diamond for extremely advanced professionals.
Many routes offer picturesque views. The View of Lake Maggiore from Monte Carza provides an incredible panoramic view from its summit. You can cycle to Molinego and then walk to the top. The Pian Bello Trail is also known for its beautiful and varied terrain with scenic views, making it a mountain bike highlight.
Yes, intermediate riders have options like the View of Lake Maggiore from Monte Carza trail, which is categorized as intermediate. The Pian Bello Trail also offers flowy passages and root sections that are manageable for intermediate skill levels, providing a varied experience.
The terrain is diverse, ranging from mostly paved sections to unpaved and challenging segments. You might encounter flowy passages, root sections, small jumps, and characteristic stone paths. Some routes, like the Ancient Stone Path, can be potentially slippery, especially with gravel and stones.

The region offers cycling opportunities throughout much of the year. However, for optimal conditions, spring and autumn generally provide pleasant temperatures and beautiful scenery. Summer can be warm, but many routes offer shade. Always check local weather conditions before planning your ride.
While specific 'family-friendly bike parks' are not present, the broader Lake Maggiore region offers easier cycle paths suitable for families. Look for routes with less elevation gain and mostly paved surfaces, especially around the lake, for a more relaxed family experience.
The broader Lake Maggiore region, including towns like Arona, provides services such as bike rentals and information on transporting bicycles. It's advisable to check in larger towns near Aurano for specific bike shops or rental services.
