The " second part " of the trail is pretty hard! Tried it on my Hard-tail XC bike and to me it felt quite overwhelming. In my opinion you need either more suspension or more skills... Or both...😅. The other sections are great! Recommended!

The Ulm downhill was definitely too difficult for me. I've been riding for the second year now, and the narrow sections, roots, and technical details were too much for me. The S1 designation definitely needs to be corrected. A bike instructor friend of mine who used to participate in official downhill races simply said: the trail is quite technical, and I only ride it with fairly advanced students.

A visit to Thömus is a must. Once again, I met many familiar faces and enjoyed a delicious meal.

The Kehrsatz region offers a variety of terrain, from technical singletracks with roots and narrow passages to flowy cross-country paths. You'll find trails suitable for different skill levels, including sections with smaller jumps and steeper descents like on the Bremertrail, and challenging routes such as the Ulmizer Downhill Trail which features technical details and root carpets.
Yes, the Swiss Bike Park Oberried is a great option for families, offering a pump track and various single trails where you can test bikes and skills. Additionally, some cross-country trails in areas like Denteberg are beginner-friendly and offer an easy, flowing ride, though they might have some root sections.
Many trails, especially those predominantly forested like the Bremertrail, offer a pleasant and shaded riding experience, particularly in warmer weather. However, trails with dense root carpets or sandstone sections, such as those on Ostermundigeberg, can become very slippery when wet. Generally, dry conditions are preferable for the best experience.
Many trails wind through forests, offering a scenic and shaded ride. The Bremertrail, for instance, includes a downhill section towards the Aare river, providing views of the natural landscape. The broader region around Kehrsatz, including Könizbergwald and Ostermundigeberg, is characterized by forested hills.
Kehrsatz serves as a good starting point for numerous cycling and mountain biking tours in the wider Bern region, suggesting reasonable accessibility. While specific parking details for each trail are not provided, the popularity of the area implies that options for parking and public transport connections are generally available for cyclists.
For challenging routes, consider the Ulmizer Downhill Trail, known for its partly flowy and partly technical sections, including narrow passages and roots. The Lindental Flow Trail is another challenging option, especially when wet, with steep sections and exposed areas.
Trail lengths vary. For example, the Bremertrail is an approximately eight-kilometer-long circular route. Other trails in the region, like those in Könizbergwald and Ostermundigeberg, offer diverse segments that can be combined for longer rides.
Beyond mountain biking, the Kehrsatz area offers excellent opportunities for other cycling sports. You can explore various Road Cycling Routes, including scenic loops like the 'Simmen Bridge – View of Gürbetal loop from Seidenberg'. There are also diverse Gravel Biking routes, such as the 'Aare and Worbla Valley Loop'.
The Swiss Bike Park Oberried includes facilities and a restaurant, making it a convenient stop for refreshments. While specific accommodation options are not detailed, Kehrsatz and the wider Bern region offer various services for visitors.
The Bremertrail is popular for its approximately eight-kilometer circular route, which includes a downhill section towards the Aare river featuring smaller jumps and steeper descents. It's suitable for experienced riders but also provides good practice terrain for less experienced ones, with much of the trail winding through pleasant forest sections.
Yes, Thömus Bike World – Muri is located nearby. They offer a wide selection of bicycles, including mountain bikes, and provide service. It's a good place to test bikes or get maintenance if needed.
