Büchelberg Trail

Highlight • Trail

A beautiful path that runs from the "summit" of the Büchelberg down into the valley to the Edelbergshohle. The fastest ascent to the Büchelberg for fit hikers (approx. 80 meters in altitude) and the fastest and most beautiful descent for mountain bikers.
The path begins at the top where the Upper Steig divides. Another dirt road meets the path opposite the path, so that there is an intersection with the path. At the end of the first meadow, the path turns sharply to the left directly above the bushes, and then pulls down to the right about 50m later. You can drive well. Approx. 20m later, at a hut ruin there are two steps, but you can pass it on the side or - if you dare - drive over it. Back out of the bushes, 20m across a meadow, then sharply to the right. About 20m later you cross the barracks road (care, sometimes heavy traffic to / from the composting site), to jet down the mountain almost exactly opposite on the path. After about 30m you go diagonally to the right and you see a meadow on which a lot of firewood is stored. From here you can accelerate until you reach the bottom of the dirt road next to the Edelberg hollow. If you want, you can cross the narrow strip of land on the other side of the dirt road and then cross the road directly next to the bridge that runs through the front hollow of the Edelberg under the country road (be careful, cars coming from the direction of Großrinderfeld can be seen late, ears on!) and continue on the valley path between Brenner and Edelberg towards Hammberg or to the Edelberg trails.

Extremely boring and short. We came a long way to drive the trail and it was junk. I wouldn't even go there with a beginner. It would bore itself!

Flowy section of the trail with several berms, natural obstacles - boulders or tree stumps. All obstacles can be avoided. Ends at Amorsbach. Will be part of KUE 1. Driving technique required for the jumps and berms. If you don't want to, drive past the obstacles.

Beautifully laid out flowy trail, also suitable for beginners. Obstacles can be bypassed.

The old beech tree (deadwood or better living tree) has a zigzag pattern as a marking, this is a habitat tree, other animals live there, fungi form on the surface.

The trail belonging to the Mtb route kue 1 is one of my favorites because after the high min it is a bit more challenging with great jumps and is also a bit steeper and you can let it roll 👍👍👍👍

For me, this is the section with the most fun factor. Technique is required, as today, at least when everything is wet and slippery, the occasional rock becomes a slippery ride. Alternatively, you can bypass the section.
