The majority of the land went to neighboring farmers, while the remaining 20 hectares and the buildings went to the school. In return, Paweł Górski asked for the establishment of a folk university in Brzostowo. It was founded and is still in operation today under the name Wacław Popiel. Descendants of the owner, who had once been driven from the estate, supported the school. Today, the agricultural school is subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The Michał Drzymała Agricultural Education Center school complex was founded and is developing rapidly [ 24 ] [ 37 ] [ 38 ] . Source: Wikipedia

Another historical monument is the castle, built around 1900, when Brzostowo was owned by Otto Berlincke. It was rebuilt after a fire in 1964. The facade is adorned by a four-column portico. In 1945, an agricultural school was established in the castle. The school had an agricultural farm that existed until 1990. Subsequently, it was separated from the school and became an independent state-owned enterprise. Two years later, it went bankrupt. The bankruptcy trustee sold all movable assets and put the estate (289 hectares of land and a farm with buildings) up for sale in 1992. The starting price was 400 million Złoty. The sale of the enterprise to private individuals would have resulted in the liquidation of the agricultural school in Brzostowo. Paweł Górski, the grandson of Wacław Popiel (the former owner of the village), intervened and filed a property claim, which prevented the sale. The tender was cancelled.
