Tips from the Community

Caro "Bandit"
December 14, 2022, Fossil Canyon Trail

Once upon a time, the area all around you was a majestic ocean. Today, you can see remnants of this era in the limestone that was formed at the bottom of the ocean: marine fossils such as seashells, crinoids, sponges and brachiopods. Take your time and explore some of these fossils in the canyon. The hike includes some minor scrambling, but is still doable for the whole family.
