A great bike and hiking trail leads here, to this covered rest stop. It is a common facility on hiking and bike paths, often serving as a sheltered picnic spot. This is a home for people with dementia. The motto "relaxing - being cared for - being allowed to be" is how the "Utspann" care facility in Fredenbeck - Wedel has been run since 2012. The residential facility was created in a listed farmhouse over 200 years old and offers an ideal environment for the care of people with dementia. It has a special charm, is homely and cozy with many inviting niches and, above all, it is protectively located on the idyllic outskirts of the village. The family business is managed and led with great commitment and passion by mother Anke Kahlich and daughter Theresa Kahlich and offers space for 36 - exclusively dementia-suffering - residents. A life as normal as possible The employees treat the residents with respect, empathy and affection.

The Alte Marktweg is a historic trade route in the district of Stade, which already played an important role in the Middle Ages. Traders needed it as an important connection for ox drivers and messengers between the marketplaces in Horneburg and also for Bremervörde. Today, the path is particularly attractive for cyclists and hikers, as it leads through picturesque landscapes such as the Rüstjer Forst. Great sights along the way in the Rüstjer Forst, here you will find a memorial stone and a historical signpost, which remind of the importance of the Alte Marktweg. In Mulsum near Kutenholz, it crosses a historically rich village on the village square. Here you can visit the fieldstone church of St. Petri and the windmill Anna Maria. The Alte Marktweg is part of the popular Steinroute, which connects prehistoric evidence such as burial mounds and erratic boulders in the region over approx. 40 km.
