Entry to the castle and park is paid at the entrance, you can pay by card. There are discounts for young people, students and pensioners. A ticket for visiting the castle interiors also entitles you to enter the park. The last guided tour of the interiors is at 4:00 p.m. and earlier on the hour. You can wait in the Renaissance Café. The group gathers next to the stage in the castle courtyard. The tour lasts about 50 minutes and requires walking up the stairs, not for people in wheelchairs. There are no restrictions on taking photos.

On a sunny summer day, when the castle courtyard heats up like an oven, it is worth seeking refreshment in the thick walls of the castle. In the corner of the courtyard is the Renesansowa Café, offering ice cream, cookies, cakes, salads, pancakes and pierogi - see photos. Ice cream is served in waffles or cups (PLN 8 per scoop). Friendly service, you can pay by card. There are also tables in the courtyard in a place where there is shade in the afternoon. Fort I "Salis-Soglio" in Siedliska, built in the years 1882-1886, is an unusual artillery fort, which, despite being blown up on March 22, 1915, is one of the best-preserved objects of the outer ring of the Przemyśl Fortress. The brick entrance gate, gorge barracks with casemates and ammunition stores, elevator shafts, artillery positions and shelters for the crew have survived on its premises. The fort lies right next to the Polish-Ukrainian border, and on the other side there are the remains of six auxiliary forts. Do not get too close to the border!

Fort XI "Duńkowiczki" was built in the years 1884-1886 and was almost identical to Fort X "Orzechowce". Later modernization included adding gun ports on the wings of the barracks, where newer types of guns were placed. The armoured batteries were fitted with retractable armoured turrets, while the caponiers were not rebuilt.

Fort VIII "Łętownia" in Kuńkowce is an Austrian fortification built originally in 1854-1855 as an artillery rampart, and in its current form formed in 1881-1882. Located on a hill west of Przemyśl, it is now developed and open to visitors. Access is via the black fortress trail, from Kuńkowce or the Przemyśl district of Lipowica. Nearby is the Fantasy Village - a reconstruction of a medieval wooden stronghold with a fortification, which makes this area even more attractive to tourists.

Beautiful castle, open for visits during the day

The greatest disaster befell the castle in 1852, on the eve of Adam Sapieha's wedding to Jadwiga née Sanguszko. The fireworks gathered in one of the towers, which were intended to celebrate the wedding of the young couple, caught fire and the castle burned down almost completely. The fire destroyed all the interiors except the chapel in the Divine Tower. The Sapieha family rebuilt the residence. However, the First and Second World Wars wreaked further devastation. In the 1960s, the first conservation works were undertaken. Renovation works in the castle are still ongoing, but some of the rooms are already finished.
