I hiked to Tatika Castle from the rest area on the road from Heviz to Sümeg. Anyone who has conquered the approximately 2 km hike + about 150 meters of elevation gain will find a true natural paradise. In addition to beautiful views in all directions, you'll find ancient walls, lizards, butterflies, and a diverse flora. I was here in May and had the old castle complex all to myself!

It is impossible to go up to the castle ruins by bicycle, but we can get off by following the blue trail line and then the green trail at the Rossztemplom branch, and hike up the mountain from there. The castle ruin on the top of the hill is somewhat "abandoned". A picnic table with a tableau and a flagpole with an OKT stamp show that we have reached a famous attraction. The view is fantastic, as we can see most of the mountains. We can see Fonyód on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, or Szigliget Castle, or Sümeg. The former volcanic field, with the Káli basin and the Badacsony, is one of the most spectacular areas in the country. The castle ruins are otherwise free to visit.

Close to Pécsly, it can be approached from several directions. Of course, it is also affected by a hiking route, but here we must take into account that it is steep and has steps. Unfortunately, it's in pretty bad shape, and it looks like they're also doing archeological digs here. The area also includes a rest area with a rain shelter and a fireplace. We can find the wooden house sealing box, with a stamp. In Pécsély, you will find the direction sign in several places.

Well preserved ruins on the edge of Lake Balaton. Great destination. The ruin costs admission, but the children were always enthusiastic. Small play area, catering and souvenirs. Archery has also been offered before
