City and bathing pond In the middle of the town of Baumholder is the town pond of about 3 hectares. Part of the natural water is open for swimming. A municipal bathing supervision and the local DLRG ensure safety. The use of the town pond for bathing is free of charge. Sunbathing lawns, a kiosk, sanitary facilities and sufficient parking spaces are available to bathers. The artificial sandy beach is ideal for children. The multi-generational playground, newly opened in 2020, is located on the forecourt of the pond. A giant trampoline with catapult and slide is anchored in the middle of the pond, which is particularly popular with young bathers. In summer, various activities and festivals are organized around the town pond by the DLRG local association and the Angelsportverein e.V. The fishing club, together with the city, looks after the water and the animals in the pond all year round. Source: www.baumholder.de
