No idea where that is at the Klingelfloß but it's probably cool too

Nice hut with a place to rest. But you can't go into the hut!

At the end of 2022, a "wobbly bridge" was added as an optional crossing, on which you can climb over freely suspended timber.

Located in the middle of the forest there is a very old pond system. The small pond "bell raft" with former forest workers shelter was built in the thirties the operation of a quarry. The ones used from the quarry Stones were used to expand the network of paths in the "Binnenberg" area used. The dam of the pond was made with the rest of the excavation material piled up. A legend tells that Emperor Napoleon was nearby the hut on the Klingelfloß when crossing the Hunsrück in front of you Storm protection should have sought.

In my opinion, the Lauschhütte is not quite what it appears to be on the Internet. It's a (hut) restaurant adjacent to an outdoor park, that's right. But I wouldn't say that you only meet like-minded people there and that this is a hut for hikers. It is only possible to wash in the disabled toilet (cold water) and hikers are not welcomed in the area of the actual hut. Drying room for equipment or shoe brushes so that you don't mess up everything in the room with your forest shoes. Since the usual guests are fewer hikers, you are not necessarily in good hands in the room if it still smells a little like nature after not washing your cat too thoroughly. I would like a little more here. We would also like to have an outdoor area for hikers. We weren't the only hikers that evening who weren't quite happy with the situation. The fact that there was no breakfast the next day (Monday) was tolerable, but it was a shame. Because this morning I think we set off with 7 hikers who would certainly have eaten something. Or would have liked to take something with you. Everything is whining at a high level! The food and the staff are great!!! There is nothing!!! Nevertheless, for me it is more of a restaurant with a connection to the Outoorpark than a "hiking hut". At the last minute (5:30 p.m.) we met two employees of the outdoor park who looked after us and showed us our campsite or offered us the trekking lodge upon request. That was really good. Because everything was wet and a little fresh. Cool, nice staff here too. We were also offered to hang up our things in a yurt. It wouldn't have helped much, it would have been of little use without heating. But it was nice that it was offered. We'll definitely come again. Maybe a little has happened by then. Have fun everyone on the Soonwaldsteig.

It's better to reserve a table in the guest room in advance, which is only possible online and there is no internet on site (Wi-Fi only for employees, not for guests). We were on the Soonwaldsteig to spend the night in the tree house (€60 / without electricity, light or heating element) on a very wet and cold day - so slightly frozen. The washing facilities only consist of cold water. Our request for a table in the warm dining room was denied quite emotionlessly. You could sit on the terrace (without heating elements) or try every now and then, currently and the next two hours would be full or too many reservations. So don't expect any favoritism for overnight guests.
