Interesting facts about the Anlauterquelle: https://altmuehltaltipps.de/2018/08/01/anlauterquelle/

One of the tributaries of the Altmühl is the Anlauter. It rises from a spring near Geyern and then flows via Nennslingen, Gersdorf, Bechthal, Titting and Emsing through numerous mills until it finally becomes part of the Schwarzach and flows into the Altmühl near Kinding. The Anlauterquelle is a very idyllic place. Even though it is located directly on the street and there is a large Raiffeisen-Agrar building complex at the back, it is protected by numerous trees and bushes and therefore offers a habitat for numerous plants and animals. The amphipod is particularly popular here. But you can also observe fish and frogs in the small pond.

The Bechthaler Weiher is located in the idyllic Anlautertal below the castle ruins, approx. 300 m as the crow flies east of Bechthal. The Anlauter flows past on the south side. The water area is approximately 1.5 hectares and has an average depth of 2 meters. Wooden beams lead across the water for balancing purposes and immediately separate the non-swimmer and swimmer areas. Next to the pond there is a playground for children and it is possible to camp there after prior registration. https://www.naturpark-altmuehltal.de/freizeit/a-z/bechthaler_weiher-597/

This is where the Father's Day Tour 2023 began and ended through the Anlautertal to Greding and via Thalmässing back to the Ankauterquelle. Unfortunately, the morning pint in Titting at the Gutmann brewery was canceled 😭 because we had a delay of 1 1/2 hours due to a breakdown at the beginning of the tour and lunch was ordered in Erkering for around 12 hours.
