I was unable to take the planned path between the two ponds at the Bürgergarten. It was closed due to construction work on one of the ponds. In front of the entrance to the Bürgergarten restaurant (coming from the railway underpass) a path branches off to the right. Follow this and you come to the smaller pond in the Bürgergarten, and then go straight ahead along the path, which has steps.
