Thorpe Marshes Nature Reserve

Ranworth is a picture postcard village in the heart of the Broads alongside Ranworth and Malthouse Broad just off the River Bure.

The village has moorings, a pub and village store and the church is known for exceptional views once you have climbed the tower, with a huge area of the Broads visible from the top.

Fairhaven Woodland and Water Garden consists of 130 acres (52 ha) of ancient woodland with over 3.5 miles (5.6 km) of paths. It has a tearoom, gift shop, bird hides, children's nature trail and plant sales area.

In the spring you can see the UK's finest collection of Candelabra Primulas as well as bluebells, camellia's and wood anemones. In summer there are Hydrangeas, Philadelphus and many wild flowers. Migrant birds and other wildlife come to the garden in the autumn, and there are many varieties of fungi and toadstools. In the winter you might be able to spot kingfishers, deer and otters.
