Łubcze – a village in Poland located in the Lublin province, in Tomaszów county, in the Jarczów commune. On April 5, 1944, the village was pacified by a UPA unit. 115 people were murdered at that time, including 24 Ukrainians (according to the report, the commander of the attackers had a white and red armband on his sleeve, and the unit itself initially spoke Polish, which caused some of the Ukrainian inhabitants of the village to give Polish when asked about their nationality). On November 15, 2022, two residents of the Dołhobyczów commune died in a rocket explosion. Exactly one year after the tragedy in Przewodowo, a monument with a commemorative plaque was unveiled. A sparse and balanced inscription was engraved on it: "Plaque commemorating the tragic event of November 15, 2022" and a quote from the poem "Rehabilitation" by Wisława Szymborska: "The eternity of the dead lasts until they are paid with memory."
