The local farmer has built this great tower made of boulders on his field. You can see it clearly from the hiking trail. As long as the field is fallow, you can also look at it up close. Otherwise, however, it is not freely accessible.

Osaby säteri is a medieval manor house in Tävelsås parish in Växjö parish. The farm with the well-preserved agricultural landscape has been owned by the Swedish Nature Conservation Union since 1969. In June 2020, the main building and other buildings were sold to Nils Hector to breathe new life into the property with hostels, banquet halls and events. This under the name Herrgård de luxe. Osaby is located on the east side of the lake Vederslövssjön, about 15 kilometers south of Växjö. It originally belonged to the municipality of Tofta, which was merged with the municipality of Tävelsås in 1785. Osaby is first mentioned in a document in 1403. From the 16th century to 1720 the estate was owned by the Ulfsax family. The current main building was built in 1852 by General Erland Hederstierna, whose descendants Osaby owned until 1916. In 1936, the retired professor Frans Wilhelm Törne (1870-1949) from Lund bought the farm. His daughters owned the farm until his death in 1969, when the entire farm was bequeathed to the Swedish Nature Conservation Union. Next to the farm is the Osaby nature reserve with several hiking trails in the deciduous area. Source: https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osaby
