The University of Kalisz Rector's Office building is located in the historic former Polish Bank building on Wojciech Bogusławski Square in Kalisz. The Wrocław Tollgate in Kalisz is a classicist building from 1827–1828, designed by Franciszek Reinstein. It served as a checkpoint and toll collection point at the entrance to the city from Wrocław. It is the only surviving tollgate among several existing in Kalisz from the 19th century. The structure is a templum in antis with a Doric portico. Until the end of the 19th century, it served as a customs house, later serving as a city scale and housing various institutions. Today, it is an architectural monument and a part of the city's historical transportation system.

The Gołuchów Animal Showcase is an ideal place to relax in nature during a bike trip around the castle and the arboretum park. On over 20 hectares of forest land, you can see bisons, Polish horses, fallow deer and wild boars, observed in their natural environment. The animals live in spacious enclosures and are under constant veterinary care. Admission is free, and the enclosure is open daily from dawn to dusk.
