The city park in Rößel was only redesigned, the course of the Sajna was left almost natural / original. There are many beautiful paths, seating, a playground, an amphitheater. And a very steep staircase directly to the castle. Only the paths are sometimes a bit slippery. Still worth seeing!

The last witch trial in Prussia is said to have taken place in Reszel / Rössl (1806). The reason was arson, which was blamed on a Polish shepherdess. According to current knowledge, they were French soldiers. However, according to the Prussian procedural rules, a witch trial was not possible, even if the Polish side likes to claim that. Due to the fact that Rössl has no rail connection, the old town has remained undamaged.
