The palace complex was built by Johann Gottlob Treppmacher in 1766 on the site of an earlier fortress. Since 1958, it has housed a school – currently the Józef Noji Primary School No. 2.

On the foundation walls of a building that originally belonged to the Driesen Fortress, a late Baroque castle was built in 1766 by order of Johann Georg Treppmacher, a Poznan merchant and banker. It was a solid brick, single-storey building, covered with a gable roof with dormer windows. In the front facade of eight axes there was a gate ditch. More precise knowledge of the parts of the previous building that have been preserved in today's building could only be obtained through building archaeological investigations. The castle building, rebuilt and modernized several times, changed the original room layout and interior design in the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century. After 1945 the castle was initially unused. In 1958 the rooms were adapted for school use. Here you can camp or rent a holiday cabin. There is a snack. The only place on the entire route where there is something to eat.
