On November 10, 2015, the Museum of the Army, Military and Orzysz Land was opened in Orzysz. Its goal is to popularize and cultivate the history of this Masurian town, located near a large military training ground. The museum, located in a tenement house from the early 20th century, presents the interesting, often turbulent history of Orzysz Land. By viewing the model of a unique water settlement, you can trace the oldest history of these areas. The museum will allow you to learn about the course of events that took place in Orzysz and its surroundings, and will also acquaint visitors with the development of the military garrison. Museum admission tickets: standard - PLN 8. concession - PLN 5. http://www.muzeumwojska.orzysz.pl/

Parish of Our Lady of the Scapular. At the beginning of the 16th century, the Catholic Church in Orzysz was a branch of Okartów, belonging to the Reszelski deanery. During the Reformation, the Evangelical faith prevailed here. Protestants built a new church in 1530, which was restored in 1832 and 1872 after being damaged by lightning. The church tower erected in the mid-17th century burned down in 1820. The main altar came from the mid-17th century. As a result of the changes made after World War II, this church was handed over to the Catholic population. In 1945, pastoral care was assumed by Father Piotr Koszykowski - organizing religious life. The parish was erected on December 5, 1998 by Bishop Wojciech Ziemba, Bishop of Ełk. https://diecezjaelk.pl/parafie_diecezji/orzysz-parafia-p-w-matki-bozej-szkaplerznej/

Orzysz – Parish of the Sacred Heart of the Lord Jesus At the beginning of the 16th century, the Catholic church in Orzysz was a branch of Okartów, belonging to the Reszel deanery. During the Reformation, the Evangelical faith prevailed here. During the German times, Catholic priests from Pisz and later from Giżycko conducted pastoral care here. Before the First World War, Catholics purchased a house in which a chapel was set up. The house was expanded and in 1913 it was dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. From that time on, Holy Mass was to be celebrated here once a month. On December 20, 1937, a permanent pastoral facility was established here, and in 1945 a parish was erected. https://diecezjaelk.pl/parafie_diecezji/orzysz-parafia-p-w-najswietszego-serca-pana-jezusa/
