The Town Hall building was built between 1752 and 1761 to house both the town hall and the jail. It has a small sundial on one of the ashlar stones and above one of its lintels a sign of "Cárcel" (Jail) is preserved. Above the main lintel appears the sign "Casa Consistorial" (Town Hall) and the year 1856. It is believed that on this date some repair work would have been carried out on the building. Currently, it also has a plaque dedicated to one of the illustrious sons of the town, the singer of regional tunes D. Aureliano Ruiz. The Rollo de justicia (also called Picota), which is located in the square in front of the Town Hall, was the indication that the locality had full jurisdiction, being able to apply justice there without the intervention of the nobility, and sometimes it was used as a pillory, exposing the head of the executed person up high. In this case, the Rollo de justicia is quite simple, fulfilling its function, as they can generally be quite decorated (although this is not the case here).

Somaconcha is a tiny, currently uninhabited village with no more than five properties. It is located at the top of the pass that separates the Pesquera valley from the Pujayo valley and offers a beautiful panoramic view of both valleys. The upper section of the Roman road, which ends in Bárcena de Pie de Concha, enters here. The most notable building in Somaconcha is its hermitage of Nuestra Señora. It was built in the 16th century with perfect ashlar masonry: we see it in the nave, the straight chancel, the small gable belfry with a single opening, and the sacristy. The austerity with which it was conceived is minimally broken by the south portal, with a semicircular arch framed by an alfiz, which gives the hermitage a distant Renaissance appearance, from the mid-16th century.
