Tips from the Community

Matthew
December 22, 2023, View of Blue Marsh Lake

There is a great view of Blue Marsh Lake from the Skinner's Loop trail. This short loop branches off of the more popular (and much longer) Lake Border Trail. The first half of the trail is through an open field, and the second half of the trail is through a thick forest before coming to an opening near the banks of the water.

The Lake Border Trail is a great trail that runs alongside the banks of Tulpehocken Creek. It is well maintained and signed, but there is a fair amount of elevation change, so it is considered to be moderately challenging.
