The city is located at an altitude of 160 meters, in the northwestern part of the prefecture, 130 kilometers northwest of Athens and approximately 30 kilometers from the nearest coast of the prefecture (Distomo Beach, where the settlement of Aspra Spitia (Distomo Beach) is located, which constitutes its seaport). In terms of the natural landscape, the city is located at the western end of the Kopaida plain, opposite the dried-up homonymous lake and at the foot of Mount Elikon, which rises south of the city, while Mount Parnassos is formed much further northwest. Extremely important in the creation and development of the city is the small river Erkyna, which flows through the city on a south-to-north axis, to join the Makrissos River and later the Boeotian Kifissos. The four main squares of the city of Livadia are: Lambrou Katsoni (or Zappeio), Ethniki Antistaseos (the Central Square), Tabachna Square, Agios Meletios Square in the refugee settlement as well as Odysseas Androutsos Square. Among the main buildings of the city are the Asylum for the Destitute, the National Bank of Greece building and the four main churches: Panagia Theotokou, Agios Nikolaos, Agios Georgios and Evangelistria. The population of Livadia is 21,468 according to the 2021 census.

It was the seat of the municipality of the same name until the end of 2010, while with the implementation of the Kallikratis program it was incorporated into the new Municipality of Distomo-Arachova-Antikyra, of which it is a Municipal Unit. Its population according to the 2011 census is 2,657 inhabitants. It is a popular winter resort, due to the existence of a ski center and its short distance from Athens (153 kilometers).

"Parnass Mountain is a mountain about central Greece, north of the Gulf of Corinth. According to Greek legend, this mountain was the home of the Muse. One theory is that the prefix "Parna-" comes from the Luwian language. means House". That's what I can search about this place on google, I think someday, I will come here and enjoy its beauty.
