This popular riverside park has a wide paved path, river access, and many more trails across the river leading to Steamboat Ditch & beyond. Mayberry Park also lies along the Tahoe to Pyramid Cycleway which connects the two lakes while mostly paralleling the Truckee River.

Galena Creek Regional Park is the starting point for a lot of popular hikes in the area. It's also a great spot to start and finish a ride on Mount Rose Highway. There are restrooms at the visitor's center and access to a few different paved and gravel roads that are a great for riding.

Really cool bridge across the Truckee river. There's picnic tables just off the bridge in a nice shaded area. You can access the river here as well which is a great way to cool off in the summer. The colors in the fall are stunning as well!

Carnelian Beach West is a small community on the waterfront. There are 530 feet of public beach. Parking is free in the parking lot adjacent to Gar Woods Grill and Pier restaurant. Leashed dogs are welcome here as well.

Gar Woods is a famous restaurant in the area, known for upscale dining and a unique alcoholic beverage only found here, the Wet Woody. The restaurant was named after Garfield Arthur "Gar" Wood, designer of luxury wooden boats in the 1920s that were once all over this area of Lake Tahoe. It's worth stopping in here for a little bit of history and to try the famous Wet Woody.
