The oldest part of the church dates from the 12th century, with additions and alterations made during the following three centuries, including the nave and spire in the 15th century. There are two gargoyles on the south transept.

Well worth a slight detour off the high street for a decent coffee or tea break plus if you require something something more they do a decent English breakfast. Open lunchtimes during the week which is a blessing as we planned three breaks and all of the cafe's were closed on a Tuesday.
