The NDR regional broadcasting center in Hanover is currently covered in scaffolding, which partially collapsed in March 2025 – presumably due to strong gusts of wind. Firefighters were deployed for several hours, cordoned off a large area, and brought the scaffolding down in a controlled manner. No one was injured, and broadcasting operations remained uninterrupted.

A typical view of the Maschsee and the HDI Arena shows a calm expanse of water, often dotted with sailboats or rowers, framed by green shorelines. In the background, the striking HDI Arena—the Hannover 96 football stadium—rises with its oval shape and white roof trusses. This view is particularly impressive at sunset, when the light reflects off the water and the arena is softly illuminated.
