A natural lake in a nature reserve The Silbersee is located about 2 km south of the town of Wehdel in the municipality of Schiffdorf, Cuxhaven district, in the middle of a nature reserve. Approximately 2.0 hectares of the 6.5 hectare natural lake, with a depth of 8.00 m, are open for swimming. The facility has become a popular destination not only for nature lovers, but also for bathers who can relax and have lots of fun. A sandy beach to the north-west of the lake with a large sunbathing area, playground, football pitch, beach volleyball court, mini golf course and a bathing island invite you to linger. A spacious parking lot is available for those looking for relaxation. The Café Silbersee is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. A barrier-free shower and toilets are available from May to October. Access to the lake is only partially barrier-free.
