An unmarked, partially paved circular path leads around the retention basin, unfortunately the weir at the top of the dam is closed and you cannot walk the entire circuit on the dam wall.

It is normally forbidden to enter the dike system, both above and below. It is not possible to cross the Unstrut on the weir here. The path ends here. Therefore, go back a few meters on the dike crown until a path leads down to the main road on the left. After crossing the guardrail, cross it and use the bike and footpath to Straußfurt on the right-hand side of the road.
