Hardly anyone to be seen on this walk. Also nice sometimes. It's a shame that thick glass plates are in the cemetery paths were destroyed.

At the Roggebotplas you will find several sand hills. These are even a bit reminiscent of the dunes. Thanks to the many paths, Roggebotzand is an ideal walking forest where you can just encounter a deer. Due to the variety, the area is rich in birds and mushrooms.

When KWF Cancer Control celebrated its 50th anniversary in 1999, Stichting Nationale Boomfeestdag and Staatsbosbeheer offered a special memorial forest. The central part of this Queen Wilhemina forest symbolizes the path that man travels between birth and death. There is also the Memorial Place with the image of Queen Wilhelmina. All around are glass plates with the names of all those loved ones who died of cancer for whom a tree has been planted in the forest.

Landgoed Roggebotstaete is long: 52 hectares of nature with a grassy horizon, steeds whistling rays, beautiful water features, verrasende doorkijkjes and a riparian flora and fauna. Still at sea until 1957, then as a tree nursery for the Rijksdienst of the Tree Nursery for Nature in Flevoland. This is where all the trees and plants for the new land came from! It was created as a country estate in 2005 and is still in full development.
