The route from here up and around Llyn Y Fan Fawr and Back must be a strong contender as one of the Wales’s most scenic walks. This is just the old trout farm on the Afon Sawdde on the start of your walk really. When I say old, it is old in structure but still being used to breed fish and is a nice half way marker on the way to Llyn Y Fan Fach itself. The nicest thing about this part of the walk is that there are abundant photo opportunities as you have the river, mini waterfalls and the main escarpment of Fan Fach in front of you,
