La Chapelle-en-Vercors is a town of a few hundred inhabitants which offers many services: a campsite open from April to September, public toilets, a mini-market and a restaurant. It is an ideal stopover if you are doing the Grand Tour du Vercors! La Chapelle-en-Vercors is also home to a listed site: the Mur des Fusillés wall. This is a site where sixteen hostages were shot by the German army on July 25, 1944.

As usual, superb welcome. The manager lent me a pan and a plate, which allowed me to improve my meal. FYI, there is a Spar store on the village square near the campsite.

But I don't think this is the right solution. To avoid puncturing the mattress, I put it in the sleeping bag, which is not pleasant. The 1st night the ground was grassy (at the top). The second night I slept under pine trees, the sleeping bag is full of resin. The third night is spent on earth that sticks to the resin .... Luckily I didn't have any wind or rain. On my return I therefore invested in a lightweight 1-person tent. For info, the resin can be removed very well with household alcohol at 90 °
