There is a substantial section of wooden stairway here. It is all pretty solid and well made. The extra height you gain makes a difference because you can look out over the forest from here and get great views back down the valley towards Kiruna.

The midnight sun trail at Kiruna is a great option for you if you just want to get out and enjoy some fresh air and nature. The trail is about 4.3 kilometres long and goes through a beautiful birch forest. There is a bit of height gain, but it is not too bad. The trail is well marked with wooden signs. You will see a sun symbol marked with “Midnattssolstigen”.
