The Black Lake was created by expanding and redesigning the old Branitz village pond. On Fuchsinsel (Fox Island) stands the Swiss-style Swan House. Prince Pückler brought a model of it back from a trip to Salzburg, based on which he had it constructed and erected around 1850. The Fish Balcony was built on the shore of the Black Lake as early as 1849. The cast-iron railing, designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel, was added in 1863. From here, one enjoys a panoramic view, including the Mondberge (Mountain Mountains) with the Moon Stele. https://www.pueckler-museum.de/parkbauten/
