The slender limestone column with strong signs of weathering is generally known as the "Long Stone". Flattenings on the sides, on which remnants of inscriptions can be seen, indicate that it was used as a signpost at one time. However, the inscription above an arrow is no longer visible. The appearance of the direction arrow indicates that the inscription dates to the period around 1850-1880.

The cross, which is taller than a man and is made of ash wood, was created by the Friedrichsdorf sculptor Ulrich Minkus. It is reminiscent of the Orphal monastery, which was first mentioned in 1074 and is said to have stood on this spot. The cross was blessed on August 28, 2016 by the priests of the surrounding communities.

A truly exceptional number of well-preserved boundary stones, which apparently marked a path along the former border between the Kingdom of Prussia and the Duchy of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. One stone shows the year 1781 and indicates the ducal history of the duchy, which was only united in 1826.
