St. Mary's Church in Boizenburg is a predominantly Gothic brick hall church, the core of which dates back to a Romanesque fieldstone building from the 13th century. Almost completely destroyed in a fire in 1709, it was rebuilt between 1717 and 1754 and later remodeled in the Neo-Gothic style in the 19th century. The tower, windows, and nave today display a blend of Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque elements—a historic work of art in the heart of the old town.

The Boizenburg District Court was a court in the district of the Schwerin Regional Court, with its seat in Boizenburg/Elbe. It was housed in a two-story building with a hipped roof, constructed around 1830 in neoclassical style. The building is located in the immediate vicinity of Boizenburg's St. Mary's Church. A prison was located next to the courthouse. After World War II, the Soviet commandant's office was housed there. In 1957, the courthouse was converted into a school. After the school was closed in 2001, the original structure and facade were restored during renovation. Today, the building at Kirchplatz 6, now the community center, houses parts of the city administration. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amtsgericht_Boizenburg
