In addition to the “Papa Klein hiking trail”, two information steles, one at Friedensplatz and one at Fortse Brugg, now also commemorate the Goch stalwart.

"Throughout his life, Johann Rudolf Klein (1871–1951), better known as Papa Klein, was deeply committed to his adopted home of Goch. Born in Kleve, he was active in the Goch Gymnastics Club, a member of the Carnival Association's Council of Eleven, the founder of the Thekla-Edelweiss Theater Group, and also played a key role in establishing the St. Martin's Day parade. In 1921, he set up a small museum in the Steintor (Stone Gate), the foundation for what would later become the Goch City Museum. Papa Klein was also an avid hiker, and from 1932 onward, he led the hiking group of the Goch Tourist Association. In commemoration of his numerous contributions, the City of Goch named a section of the Niers hiking trail the "Papa Klein Hiking Trail" in 1971. ..." https://www.goch.de/rathaus-buergerservice/goch-aktuell/info-stelen-erinnern-papa-klein
