Nature reserve "Ersinger Springenhalde" The nature reserve is located in the municipality of Kämpfelbach, district of Ersingen, and covers an area of 38 hectares. It is located on the B 10 between Wilferdingen and Pforzheim and is situated in the southern Kraichgau. Only about 10-15 minutes by car from Karlsbad/Waldbronn. Here we find a valley incision in the Muschelkalk. Numerous rare bird species, such as the wryneck and the dartford warbler, live in the richly structured terrain. Numerous orchid species and other rare plants bloom on the calcareous dry grasslands of the southwest slope. The diversity of plants is a food and development base for many insect species – so we can observe butterflies, such as the swallowtail, various burnet moths, the chalk grassland butterfly, or the critically endangered chalk-blue, which lays its eggs exclusively on chalk plants. The praying mantis from the order of mantids is also said to have been sighted here. In the upper third of the slope, there is a path parallel to the federal highway, from which fauna and flora can be observed without causing damage by entering the meadow area. Areas with such a diversity of flora and fauna have become rare and are therefore particularly worthy of protection.

"Hm320", although the last approx. 100m to the "summit" are better on foot ☝️ With "Bending Spoons" it "might" definitely work 🤣!

"Each of these crosses can tell its own story and what motivated people to erect "their" cross at this spot. (...) These wayside crosses were erected as visible signs and attract the attention of many people. The cross is a symbol of life. It stands as a sign of our Christian hope and aims to direct our gaze to Jesus Christ, who has overcome death (...). The cross is a part of our lives, just as it was a part of the life of Jesus. So I hope that many people... will seek out the wayside crosses, whether as places of silence and respite before God, or as places of community gathering, prayer, and praise."
