Anneliese Bruckner has been collecting dolls, toys and children's books for over 45 years. During this time, a real treasure has been accumulated. In 2018, Mrs. Bruckner opened her doll museum, which is located in her parents' house in Raabs an der Thaya. Visitors can expect a journey through time from the Biedermeier period to the 1960s. Over 3,000 exhibits, each with its own story, can be admired. The oldest pieces include a celluloid Schildkröt doll from the Biedermeier period (around 1820) and a velvet cat from the early days of the Steiff collection. On a tour of the museum, guests will discover, among other things, Punch and Judy figures, doll carriages, doll kitchens, Barbie dolls and an original school desk with a slate board. It's unbelievable what there is in this shop - lots of herbal teas, ointments, tinctures, liqueurs, extracts, even the famous marigold ointment. It's best to get advice, the staff are incredibly knowledgeable about herbs and their possible uses.
