A spring chapel was built directly next to the former charcoal burner's house. Originally, the Auberg residents went to this chapel to fetch the healing water. Today, the water can no longer be found there. During our research, two neighbors told us that the current owner of the house complained that the chapel was suffering from excessive moisture due to the water, and had therefore decided to channel the spring into the house. According to information from the current owner, this spring has always been the property's domestic water source. Approximately 25-30 years ago, the fifth previous owner removed the water from the chapel to protect the cultural heritage, the chapel, and statues, from the destructive moisture.
