>>we built this country in the spirit of listening. In the spirit of striving for a common solution for the greater good of all. Because we learned the hard way that the belief that one possesses the sole and absolute truth leads straight to perdition.<< said Austrian Federal President Alexander Van der Bellen (Speech on the occasion of the National Day, October 26, 2025). >>Seventy years ago, Leopold Figl said the famous words “Austria is free”. And our homeland, which in 1955 was already in its tenth year of freedom from the terror of National Socialism, was now free (...). Free to flourish in democracy, while upholding fundamental and human rights. This was made possible by good compromise. Reconciliation and cooperation between formerly bitter political opponents.<<

With a voucher that we received at the hotel, we were able to visit the production facility and try all the different types. Super friendly hosts, top quality bacon and ham, and there are many other regional products there, such as honey, lard, schnapps, etc. It's worth a visit!

Good place to stay overnight if you are doing a multi-day hike in the area. For granite pilgrims and power-source tree hikers, this accommodation is not only conveniently located, but also offers a great breakfast. Fried eggs and bacon from the farm's own production can be provided on request. Sensationally good!!!

There isn't much to see here, but the idea is really great. And there is something magical about having something right in front of you, knowing that perhaps only people who were just born will see it.

Very nice and spacious playground. It has everything a playground needs. And as a bonus, there is an area for splashing around in the water right next to the Steinerne Mühl.
