The parish and pilgrimage church "Maria Rast" is located in the valley of the town of Ernsthofen on the Enns. Even before 1007, Mary was invoked for her intercession as "Our help in misery". A place of worship was first mentioned in 1377. Until 1665, the Gothic Marian pilgrimage church stood directly on the banks of the Enns. Annual floods made it necessary to relocate the river in the direction of the steeply sloping Loderleiten ridge.

The Sacred Heart Chapel in Viehdorf, better known as the "Moar-Hansl Chapel", was built in 1912 by several families from Viehdorf on the former site of a weather cross to ask for spiritual protection from bad weather such as hail or storms. The historical picture shows the inauguration of the chapel in 1912. Initially built in an open form, the "Moar-Hansl Chapel" was given a closed prayer room with two rows of benches. The chapel was last renovated in 1999, and in 2021 the municipality of St. Valentin built a panoramic map and new benches for day trippers, hikers or those seeking peace and quiet.
