from my apartment pin 📍Ayusai i started my walk there. But the starting point of almaty lake is edelweiss. So i walked extra 2km from the starting point. Before entering ayusai there's an entrance even if my yandex talked to the guards. I paid 1000 tenge. If your driver is kind enough to push to drive you to edelweiss why not.

From here, the road is closed to cars. If you take a Yandex taxi from Almaty, you can enter Edelweiss Tourist Camp. The climb is about 7 km along the road, or about 4 km along the water pipe.
