The Wat Preah Prom Rath Bridge over the Siem Reap River in the city center is a brightly painted bridge decorated with Buddhist symbols. It also forms an important access point to the historic Wat Preah Prom Rath temple complex, which dates back to the 13th century. The railing is adorned with a five-headed Naga (sacred multi-headed snake symbol). It symbolizes protection, water, and the rainbow bridge between humans and gods.

This is one of the many pagodas in the city, and perhaps one of the oldest; the land was offered to King Ang Chan in the mid-16th century by the wealthy Ta Pum and Yeay Roath family to build a monastery there. In Cambodia, pagodas are always associated with one or more villages. It plays a strong social role within the community and serves as a meeting place; it also plays an educational and moral role. This is why the composition of its plan is rich in diverse constructions. The number of constructions on the property increased significantly in the 1940s. Today, we find a school from 1952 in the north, the monks' houses in the west, and the Hall of Merits near the sanctuary. The sanctuary, or Preah Vihear, rebuilt in 1945, consists of a central nave (thnem) resting on two rows of columns, surrounded by a side aisle (robieng) and a rotating covered gallery (binsach) used for processions. Murals on the wall illustrate the life of Buddha. Finally, in the rear of the nave is a wooden sculpture of the Reclining Buddha. (Display board)
