The ARD television media library presents a short (15-minute) segment on the "Nibelungenlied" (Song of the Nibelungs) – an ancient tale featuring the popular hero Siegfried, which made the city of Worms famous and remains a major tourist attraction to this day. As part of the "Classics of World Literature" series, writer and literary figure Tilman Spengler (re)acquaints even those who think they know the legend with its content. Pfiffligheim Pfrimm weir: This weir was used to regulate the water level in order to ensure the supply of the Mühlbach in the direction of Pfiffigheim. The weir to the Mühlbach is also still visible in the foreground. The Mühlbach itself has been filled in. Its course is recognizable as a path. A small weir that was used to irrigate the orchards can be seen on the former edge of the Mühlbach (tour no. 10b). The Pfrimm weir was restored in 1997 by the DRK vocational training center in Worms.
