The Wildline is a pedestrian suspension bridge in Bad Wildbad in the Northern Black Forest. It crosses the Bärenklinge, a small side valley, from the Sommerberg to the southern end of Bad Wildbad. With a span of 380 meters and a maximum height of 60 meters above the ground, it extends from the north to the south portal. The bridge serves for the tourist development of the Sommerberg Bad Wildbad recreational area, especially the hiking trail network, but is also to be considered an independent attraction. The Wildline has a walkway width of 1.20 meters. This walkway, accessible to pedestrians, consists of a grating construction resting on crossbeams, which in turn are attached on both sides to vertical hangers directly connected to the main suspension cables. For the safety of visitors, handrails and wire mesh grids are mounted on both sides. A special feature of the bridge's construction is that it is arched upwards, thus constructed contrary to the classic suspension bridge form. The main suspension cables are anchored to two pylons, each 23 meters high, erected at the entrances. The maximum gradient towards the center of the bridge is ten percent. The total weight of the bridge is 141 tons, of which 43 tons are for the walkway alone. The two bridge pylons weigh a total of 82 tons. The maximum load capacity of the bridge is 600 people, but for comfort reasons, only a maximum of 300 people are allowed on the bridge at the same time. A maximum breaking load of 5,620 kilonewtons is specified per cable. A total of 11,000 meters of welds were made during construction. The bridge is built with low barriers, so it can also be crossed by people with walking disabilities in wheelchairs or by people with strollers. The construction phase of the bridge with an attached visitor center took only about half a year and began in the winter of 2017/2018. The Wildline was officially opened in July 2018. The Baumwipfelpfad Schwarzwald (Black Forest Treetop Path) is a 1250 m long treetop path on the Sommerberg west of Bad Wildbad in the district of Calw, Baden-Württemberg, at an altitude of about 750 m above sea level (NHN) and was built according to the plans of the Schönberg architect Josef Stöger. The facility, opened in 2014, offers information about the forest and its wildlife at various information stations, as well as an observation tower. It is operated by the company Erlebnis Akademie AG. The entrance to the path can be reached from the mountain station of the Sommerbergbahn via the Emmaweg or from the public car park via a zigzag path. The treetop path has a length of about 636 m and a height above the ground between about 4 and 20 m. It follows the terrain with a constant gentle incline and offers various didactic stations as well as experience stations such as balance beams or wobbly elements. In addition, there are 15 comic panels along the path, which are intended to provide excitement and convey knowledge, especially to children, as part of a treetop path comic rally. The entire path, including the ramp access in the observation tower, is barrier-free and reaches a maximum gradient of 6 %. At the end of the path, you reach a 38.5 m high observation tower, which is predominantly made of wood and, due to the arrangement of the twelve doubly inclined, layer-glued main supports, looks like a large twisted cup. The supports are arranged rotationally symmetrically at the same distance from each other and are inclined both outwards and clockwise. They are connected to each other by steel tubes, braced several times crosswise, and partly protected against the weather by sheet metal cladding. The access from the path into the tower takes place at a height of about five meters on the second winding of the 614 m long access ramp, which runs within the support columns, and which, after a total of nine windings, reaches the twelve-sided, approximately ring-shaped observation platform. This is attached to the outside of the supports with steel cantilevers and offers a view far into the Black Forest, the Rhine Valley, and the Swabian Jura. Orientation arrows to sights and to the other treetop paths of the operating company are attached to the parapet. The new house was a so-called „Vaudeville Theater“. Vaudeville has its origins in Parisian fairground theater and is often associated with music and dance. In 1872, the private theater came into the possession of the state of Württemberg. When Peter Liebig from Mainz was called to Wildbad in 1872 as theater director, the theater experienced a great upswing. In 1888, the theater was given a new name: „Königliches Kur-Theater“. In 1897/98, it was rebuilt as part of the redesign of the spa facilities. On 10.07.2014, 150 years after the building was established, regular operations at the Königliches Kurtheater were resumed with a concert performance of Rossini's „Il viaggio a Reims“!
