Originally a field chapel dedicated to the Holy Family, located on the driveway of a large farmstead called "'t Kapelhof" (The Chapel Court). In 2026, however, nothing more refers to the Holy Family, only to Our Lady. The statue of Mary, however, looks somewhat odd: her face and hands are black, not in keeping with the typical image of "the Black Madonna." The chapel dates from 1858.

Beautifully situated chapel. It's especially striking as you descend from Granvalbos, at the bend where Grote Dalestraat turns into Priesterstraat. Inside, besides several statues of Mary, there's also a statue of the Sacred Heart.

Historic farmstead with a gated community located in the hamlet of Labroye, whose name likely refers to the La Broye family (already mentioned in 1299). In the 19th century, the neighborhood was called "de Geuzenhoek" (the Geuzen Corner) due to the presence of several Protestant families. The site of the square farmstead is already shown in the Atlas der Buurtwegen (ca. 1846). Source: Inventory of Immovable Heritage

A roadside chapel in disrepair: the cross on the ridge is bent, the cladding of the outer wall is crumbling, and the interior, which contains three Sacred Heart statues, reveals that the last maintenance was several years ago.
