This car park is in the middle of the forest and is a place to spend some time for that reason alone. For me it is and will remain the starting point for all hikes in the Harburg mountains. There are two benches - but I always prefer the benches at the front left - because they both have backrests, even if they don't look as nice as the seats in the back right corner, which have no backrests and, at least for me, quickly give me back pain, especially after hiking. The number of parking spaces has always been sufficient - even in the height of summer when there are lots of other car park users with their horse trailers. One thing to note - the forest ranger also likes to drive past there in his service vehicle, especially in the summer. And I've seen him write people up for a fine a couple of times with their dogs that weren't on a leash.
