It's certainly lovely to see a swan's nest. Just like a rabbit hopping by or a beautiful cloud. But these things are fleeting. If I'm hiking there now, it doesn't help me to know that you once spotted a duck. Ephemeral, temporary highlights aren't helpful and only make planning more difficult.
