At the entrance to the town from the direction of Angermünde is the listed post mile column on the old trade route Berlin - Stettin via Schwedt. A paved road was built here between 1824 and 1828. The route between the milestones was marked by half-milestones and quarter-milestones. Stagecoaches continued to operate here until 1913.
