Nice little rest area with lots of information about butterflies. Be a little careful when using the magnets, recently there was a wasp nest underneath and I got a painful cavity preservation.

The Martin Luther Church in Eggesin was built in 1911 by the architect Schmidt from Löcknitz. The neo-Gothic church with its 48 meter high tower, which can be seen from afar, characterizes the silhouette of the town of Eggesin. The west tower, tower clock and striking mechanism were also built by a Szczecin company in 1911, as was the Grüneberg organ installed that year. There were three bell generations, the last one dates back to 1963 and comes from the Schilling bell foundry in Apolda. The bells were consecrated on June 7, 1963. The festive service for the church renovation took place on October 31, 1963, a new copper tower covering was completed on November 10, 1985. The stained glass was last restored in 1994-95. The half-timbered church was built in the first half of the 18th century. The pointed bell tower was demolished in 1902 due to dilapidation. In 1913 the church was rebuilt. Since 1994 it has been used again as a community room and for church services. Source: https://www.vorpommern.de/reisezielen/details/stamm/show/fachwerkkirche-eggesin/
