In my opinion, Templin and this hike, apart from a few short stretches along the road, especially on the Fährkrug side, are a feast for the eyes and highly recommended. Templin's city wall has a total length of 1.7 kilometers. Measured by area, Templin is the largest city in the Uckermark district of the state of Brandenburg. Despite its population of only around 16,000, it is the eighth-largest city in Germany. Former Chancellor Angela Merkel spent her early years of school at the Goethe Elementary School (see also picture).

Beautiful bathing area with a jetty for jumping in and lying down. Clear lake that invites you to swim and is not overcrowded.

Please only use the north bank as a bathing lake (it's great). Please respect the biotope status of the other banks.
